About the Role

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team in Elgin, Illinois.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, providing support and maintaining a high level of patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during surgical procedures.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring patients receive the best possible care.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical technologies and procedures, ensuring continued professional growth and development.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a surgical technologist program or 2 years of surgical scrub experience.
  • CPR certification and ability to obtain Certified Surgical Technologist certification within 3 months of employment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
