Position Overview:

The Laboratory Service Inc. People Analytics team is in search of a seasoned narrative architect who is innovative, skilled, and data-driven to assist in crafting compelling stories with human resources data. This position requires the development of engaging data visualizations, the creation of persuasive narratives, and the empowerment of business decisions through data insights. The perfect candidate will have a profound knowledge of data visualization techniques, data interpretation, and possess exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Insights: Perform both basic and advanced data analyses to identify trends, correlations, and insights related to employee performance, engagement, retention, and other HR metrics. Deliver actionable recommendations grounded in data-driven insights to facilitate strategic decision-making.
  • Data Visualization: Design and produce impactful visual representations, dashboards, and reports to effectively convey findings and trends to stakeholders. Employ data visualization tools to present intricate data in a clear and actionable format.
  • Data Wrangling: Extract raw data from various HR data sources and integrate them into usable datasets for analysis and insight generation.
  • Data Storytelling: Convert complex data analyses into engaging narratives that resonate with diverse audiences, including executives, HR partners, and business leaders. Utilize storytelling techniques to influence decision-making and drive organizational change initiatives.
  • Design: Create and compile data narratives into attractive data packages with appealing aesthetics using fundamental design principles.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Work alongside cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, Finance, and Operations, to align analytics efforts with organizational objectives and priorities. Provide leadership and mentorship to junior analysts and team members, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, IT, Data Science, or a related field with 4+ years of experience in a People Analytics Team -OR- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, IT, Data Science, or a related field with 7+ years of experience in a People Analytics Team.
  • A demonstrated portfolio of data visualization projects or narratives that can be presented to the hiring team.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and data visualization platforms.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint or other presentation software/applications.
  • Strong understanding of HR metrics and analytics methodologies, including predictive modeling and statistical analysis.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex findings into clear and actionable insights using presentation software/applications.
  • A strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving business outcomes through data-driven HR initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $125,000-$140,000 base salary plus bonus opportunities.

Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(K), ESPP, Paid time off (PTO) or Flexible time off (FTO), Commissions, and Company bonus where applicable.
