Position Overview:
The Tax and Finance Supervisor will be responsible for managing financial operations, tax compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for Egis International Philippines Branch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a finance team and coordinate with external partners to manage complex projects effectively.
- Participate in all tender evaluations across the Philippines for various Egis Business Units, focusing on finance and tax considerations.
- Assist operational teams in negotiating and drafting essential project documentation, including client contracts, amendments, and joint venture agreements.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Collaborate with the Branch Tax Advisor, accounting firms, auditors, and local tax authorities to ensure adherence to local tax and accounting regulations.
- Support Egis entities and the Tax Department in preparing tax-related proposals in the Philippines.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all tax-related transactions, including expense records, tax ruling applications, and management of withholding taxes.
Tax Management:
- Review and oversee all tax returns (monthly, quarterly, annual) prepared by the accounting firm for the Branch.
- Manage projects not only for the Branch but also for other Business Unit initiatives.
- Organize and facilitate quarterly project reviews, paying special attention to multi-Business Unit projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation, finance, business, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
- Demonstrated experience in tax management, public accounting, or a similar capacity.
- Proficiency in various taxation software and extensive knowledge of tax legislation.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) are essential.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
