Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient communications including calls and messages.
  • Utilize the Epic system for various administrative tasks.
  • Assist healthcare providers during clinic operations.
  • Coordinate appointment scheduling and patient rooming.
  • Handle prescription refills and urgent patient inquiries.
  • Support multiple clinics during peak times or staff shortages.

As part of your role, you will:

  • Prepare for patient visits by ensuring all necessary schedules and test results are ready.
  • Room patients effectively, documenting vital information such as chief complaints, vital signs, and medical history.
  • Conduct basic diagnostic tests as required, including hearing and vision tests, EKGs, and specimen collection.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinic rooms and supplies.
  • Assist with scheduling follow-up appointments and perform routine clerical tasks.
  • Handle telephone messaging and in-person patient screenings with appropriate follow-up.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program or a minimum of one year of relevant experience is required. Certification may substitute for formal training.
