The Clinical Specialist II - AF Solutions will play a crucial role in promoting and supporting the Watchman product line through education of current and potential customers within a defined area.
The successful candidate will provide clinical education, sales strategy, and support to assist in achieving or exceeding projected sales goals and increasing sales revenues within assigned product lines.
As a key member of the dynamic team, the Clinical Specialist II - AF Solutions will collaborate to build the Watchman name in an assigned territory.
Responsibilities- Clinical Education and Training: Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by creating and delivering presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms.
- Sales Strategy and Support: Meet with existing and potential clients to identify their clinical needs, goals, and constraints related to patient care and discuss and demonstrate how company products can help them achieve their goals.
- Relationship Building: Develop relationships with hospital personnel at all levels, including staff, physicians, and administrators, to make new contacts in other departments within the hospital and identify key decision makers to facilitate future sales.
- Customer Service: Respond to customer needs and complaints regarding products and service by developing creative and feasible solutions or working with other related personnel to develop optimal solutions.
- Leadership and Guidance: Provide direction and guidance to exempt specialists and/or supervisory staff who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments.
- Change Leadership: Demonstrate effective change leadership and build strategic partnerships to better the area/organization by leveraging relationships with peers, management, and across the WATCHMAN organization.
- Talent Development: Assist management in recruiting and coaching organizational talent and demonstrate effective change leadership.
- Strategy Implementation: Implement and monitor strategies outlined by the quarterly plan of action for the area, including market development, product launch, and competitive product intelligence.
- Partnership Building: Coordinate territory and other BSC sales management and representative's efforts to build strategic partnerships that will further area and organizational objectives.
- Market Development: Develop relationships with key referring physicians, external fellows, NEPIs, and other key physicians to promote market development and growth.
- Strategic Initiatives: Work with sales management to proactively identify strategic initiatives that improve the effectiveness of the area and organization.
- Protocol Knowledge: Train on and maintain knowledge of clinical trial protocols, Clinical Department standard operating procedures, and compliance toward the regulations of world-wide regulatory bodies to meet corporate and departmental objectives.
- Site Management: Manage clinical trial activity within the assigned territory, including completing Interest Visits and Site Initiation Visits.
- Investigator Education: Educate clinical investigators on clinical trial protocols, clinical process, and investigational products and features.
- Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in clinical cardiology, medical device sales, or equivalent education and experience
- Technical Aptitude: Must demonstrate a technical aptitude and ability to discuss and explain complex technical product information
