The Bilingual Customer Support Specialist II will be responsible for addressing incoming inquiries related to benefits, eligibility verification, claim statuses, and complaints. This position requires accurate documentation of all interactions, effective follow-up, and proper electronic routing while ensuring confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly and effectively to inbound inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, claims processing, and authorization statuses. For claims-related calls, the specialist will manage questions, document transactions accurately, and strive for first-call resolution by identifying issues and proposing solutions.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of claims systems and accurately input necessary information into the designated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, following all departmental and organizational policies.
  • Exhibit professional behavior and strong interpersonal skills during all interactions.
  • Foster a cooperative and productive working environment both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrate self-control and conduct activities in a non-confrontational manner.
  • Contribute actively to departmental goals as outlined in the annual business plan, including specific process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • English/Spanish Bilingual - Required
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED) is mandatory.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in healthcare insurance, managed care, or a related field.
  • Experience in Claims and Authorization Status, Benefits, and Eligibility for at least two lines of business for customer interactions.
  • One year of customer service experience in a call center or face-to-face setting is essential.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills are necessary.
  • Must be fully vaccinated.

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexibility required)
  • Compensation: $17.50 per hour
  • Type: Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
