Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day administrative operations of the CRC, advising Executive Director and CRC leadership on strategies to improve program coordination and efficiency.
  • Provide supervision, leadership, and support to administrative staff, graduate assistants, and student workers to ensure a cohesive and efficient working environment.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure CRC compliance with applicable university, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
  • Represent the CRC at university-wide committees, meetings, and events to promote awareness of its programs and initiatives.
  • Lead and coordinate project management initiatives, including the development of project plans, timelines, and milestones for all CRC activities.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive calendar of events, programs, and activities for the CRC.
  • Oversee effective scheduling and event logistics coordination for workshops, seminars, conferences, and other events hosted by the center.
  • Direct CRC personnel operations, including human resources and staffing processes, ensuring compliance with university, state, and federal policies and regulations.
  • Manage onboarding and training for permanent and grant-funded staff positions as well as graduate assistants and student workers.
  • Oversee CRC budget and financial activities, responsible for managing a diverse operating budget of $34 million.
  • Supervise the Budget and Grants Director in managing the CRC budget, including forecasting, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring fiscal responsibility.
  • Oversee the identification of funding sources, grants, and other opportunities to support the center's programs and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement a communications and marketing plan, including social media and website management and digital exhibits.
  • Supervise the Director of Communications and other staff to ensure effective creation, production, and distribution of CRC marketing and communications materials.
  • Coordinate with university and external communications and marketing entities as needed.
  • Oversee the maintenance, organization, and allocation of CRC offices, storage, and exhibit spaces, ensuring optimal functionality and presentation standards.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and efficient systems for cataloging and tracking collection artifacts, documents, and multimedia resources.
  • Represent the CRC and collaborate with university and library facilities staff as needed.
  • Manage CRC information technology needs, including equipment purchases, and supervise the purchase, implementation, training, and evaluation of shared software systems.
  • Coordinate with library and university Division of IT staff as needed.
  • Responsible for creation, implementation, and revision of the CRC strategic plan.
  • Lead internal planning efforts, including planning periodic staff retreats as needed.
  • Establish performance metrics and assessment tools to evaluate the effectiveness of programs and initiatives.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for administrative and programmatic improvements.
  • Compile data for CRC leadership and staff, university offices, and external partners and prepare reports such as project updates and fundraising summaries.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $87,231 - $130,846.
