Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Mission Assurance Construct Implementation Analyst to offer expert technical guidance, analysis, and support for the implementation of the Mission Assurance Construct. This role is essential for the identification, assessment, risk management, and monitoring of Department of Defense (DoD) strategic assets, as well as for supporting critical resilience initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and support the execution of Mission Assurance Coordination Board (MACB) functions and meetings, including the MA Senior Steering Group and MA Executive Steering Group. Responsibilities include producing necessary documentation, presentations, and analyses, advising on meeting agendas, and coordinating cross-DoD and external communications.
  • Provide expert analysis and recommendations for integrating the Mission Assurance Construct into broader DoD processes, including budgetary frameworks and strategic guidance documents.
  • Assist in the review and drafting of key U.S. Government and DoD Strategic Guidance Documents related to Mission Assurance, Defense Critical Infrastructure, and resilience.
  • Prepare and coordinate briefing materials for senior Department leaders to keep them informed on the status of Mission Assurance Construct implementation.
  • Deliver technical advice to enhance the incorporation of the Mission Assurance construct into various related programs and activities, ensuring thorough reviews of relevant instructions and guidance.
  • Conduct technical analysis regarding the prioritization of Defense Critical Asset lists and related missions, supporting the development of additional lists derived from Mission Assurance analysis.
  • Advise on the development of guidance to enhance Mission Assurance assessments (MAA) and assist in evolving mechanisms for managing risks associated with Defense Critical Assets.
  • Support the development of policy training requirements for risk management and resilience within the Defense Critical Infrastructure domain.
  • Contribute to the establishment of processes that integrate the Mission Assurance framework into ongoing research and development initiatives aimed at enhancing resilience across various systems.
  • Assist in the development and management of the Mission Assurance database, ensuring effective information sharing and governance.
  • Provide recommendations on policy guidance to align database capabilities with Mission Assurance needs, ensuring high standards for data protection and security.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active top-secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • A Master’s Degree in Homeland Security, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to identify, evaluate, and prioritize operational risks.
  • Experience in developing plans for operational continuity during crises, including disaster recovery for IT systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing projects from inception to completion, coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
