Job Overview

Position Summary: The Business Analyst and Quality Assurance Specialist plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This position involves thorough analysis, quality assurance, and project coordination to ensure the successful implementation of technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analysis (45%):

  • Collaborate with both business and technical teams to gather and document requirements, analyze processes, and create comprehensive test scenarios.
  • Support scope definition and manage changes effectively.
  • Secure approvals on system requirements and technical documentation.
  • Prepare and refine technical documents for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in Salesforce.

Quality Assurance (45%):

  • Lead the quality assurance processes within the IT team.
  • Conduct thorough QA testing for all Salesforce Platform solutions, including customizations and integrations.
  • Develop and implement test plans, cases, and scripts to validate system functionality and performance.
  • Work closely with the development team to identify and resolve issues.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure new developments do not disrupt existing functionalities.
  • Evaluate service levels and system performance metrics.
  • Analyze trends, identify anomalies, and propose effective solutions.

Project Coordination (10%):

  • Assist in drafting project plans, agendas, and documentation.
  • Help manage project timelines and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Contribute to project communications for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Support the maintenance of project management tools and resources.
Principal Accountabilities:
  • Conduct detailed requirements gathering and analysis.
  • Assess business processes and devise solutions for new and existing challenges.
  • Provide feedback on quality assurance and development processes.
  • Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure project success.
  • Create and maintain documentation of processes and system functionalities.
  • Manage project scope, budget, and resources.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects.
  • Coordinate and track project progress, ensuring completion of assigned tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 2 years in a relevant field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in business analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in managing complex requirements and prioritizing tasks.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in project coordination or a similar role.
  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis.
  • Experience with vendor management.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Zoho, Jira, Trello, or Asana.
  • Knowledge of both waterfall and agile methodologies.
  • Experience in the nonprofit or association sector.
