Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to take on a pivotal role in developing and enhancing software solutions that facilitate modeling, simulation, and tool development for aerospace defense systems. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to addressing complex challenges in national security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients, senior researchers, software engineers, and project managers to design and refine software models and simulations that align with defense objectives.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, interpreting high-level guidance to derive actionable insights and communicate findings effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Utilize your analytical skills and customer-oriented mindset to innovate and enhance capabilities in modeling and simulation processes.
  • Leverage your expertise in experimental design, quantitative analysis, and user interface development to support customer engagement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a TS//SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of related fields such as Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Predictive Modeling, and Statistical Analysis.
  • Proficient in web-based development, C++, Python, MATLAB, Jira, agile methodologies, and database management with MySQL or AFSIM.
  • Familiarity with radar, aircraft, missile, and space systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve mission-critical outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive self-starter with a history of innovative problem-solving.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • Current SECRET or TS//SCI clearance.
  • Proficiency in AFSIM.
  • Experience in object-oriented programming languages, particularly C++.
  • Ability to evaluate software development and data acquisition needs to propose effective solutions.
  • Significant experience supporting defense sector clients with demonstrable technical advancements.
  • Expertise in integrating analytical methodologies with existing tools in innovative ways.
  • Proven track record in leading project development initiatives.
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git, SVN, or JIRA.
  • Understanding of embedded software and hardware development principles.
