About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Combat Systems Engineer to join our team at Booz Allen Hamilton. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex projects that involve the analysis and evaluation of combat weapon systems using advanced computer-based analytical tools.

As a Combat Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating combat weapon systems, including aircraft and ground-based air defense systems. You will use your technical expertise to evaluate system attributes and operational tactics to improve survivability against foreign threat systems. Your analyses will help inform investment decisions for future combat systems, and you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in critical thinking, data analytics, and operations analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform operational analysis for the Department of Defense
  • Use the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, or Modeling (AFSIM) analytical framework for operational analysis
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of U.S. and foreign combat weapon systems
  • Leverage problem-solving expertise to overcome engineering or code development challenges
  • Distill, summarize, and articulate complex technical insights and findings
  • Work in a dynamic team environment
  • Meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience performing operational analysis for the Department of Defense
  • Experience using AFSIM for mission modeling
  • Experience with data analytics or software development in an academic or professional environment
  • Knowledge of Linux operating environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science
