About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Repair Specialist to join our team at the State of Pennsylvania. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and repair of our historic buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair historic buildings and grounds, including landscaping, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing work.
  • Operate and maintain equipment, including seasonal grounds equipment like mowers, string trimmers, snow plow, and snow removal equipment.
  • Perform routine building repairs, including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
  • Assist with special events and programs, including setup and take-down.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the success of our programs and events.
Requirements
  • Two or more years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One or more years of experience maintaining historic buildings.
  • One or more years of experience managing a multifaceted HVAC and Fire and Security system that utilizes automated building control systems.
  • One or more years of experience working with volunteers.
