Role Summary: We are looking for a motivated and results-oriented Sponsorship Sales Specialist to become a vital part of our accomplished team. In this role, you will focus on discovering and securing sponsorship opportunities, nurturing relationships with prospective sponsors, negotiating sponsorship agreements, and driving revenue enhancement. The ideal candidate will have outstanding communication and negotiation abilities, a solid sales background, and a successful history of closing sponsorship contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and analyze potential sponsors, ensuring their alignment with our organization's objectives, target demographics, and events.
  • Formulate and execute a strategic sales approach to attract new sponsorship opportunities and meet revenue goals.
  • Establish and sustain robust relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within potential sponsor organizations.
  • Deliver persuasive sponsorship proposals and negotiate tailored sponsorship packages that cater to the unique requirements of each sponsor.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including marketing, events, and operations, to guarantee the successful implementation of sponsorship agreements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor movements, and market dynamics to uncover new sponsorship opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Keep precise and current records of sales activities, sponsor contacts, and revenue projections within the CRM system.
  • Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to broaden your professional network and promote sponsorship opportunities.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on sponsorship sales performance to management, emphasizing significant achievements and areas for enhancement, along with constructive feedback for project team members.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of our organization's mission, vision, and goals to effectively convey the value of sponsorship opportunities to potential sponsors.
  • Manage daily activities efficiently.
  • Plan your campaigns effectively, utilizing both marketing leads and self-generated leads.
  • Consistently apply the sales process framework.

Candidate Profile:

  • Demonstrated success in sponsorship sales or a comparable B2B role, with a strong portfolio of successful agreements.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to build relationships and influence key decision-makers.
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities, with a proven track record of developing mutually beneficial sponsorship agreements.
  • Self-driven and goal-oriented, with a passion for achieving and surpassing sales targets.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of prioritizing and managing multiple sponsorship opportunities concurrently.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tools for managing and tracking sales activities (HubSpot preferred).
  • Knowledge of industry trends, sponsorship best practices, and the competitive landscape.
  • Willingness to travel within North America and work flexible hours as necessary.
  • A proactive attitude towards seeking information and solutions.
