Responsibilities

Analyzes business requirements to ensure Oracle solutions align with customer objectives by integrating industry best practices, product expertise, and business insight.

Exhibits judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on complex and non-routine aspects of applications and technology installations.

Provides guidance and mentorship to project teams, effectively influencing customer leadership on pivotal decisions. Supports business development initiatives by seeking new opportunities and extensions.

Collaborates with the consulting sales team by offering domain expertise. Resolves intricate customer challenges by recommending and implementing effective solutions.

Demonstrates proficiency in multiple business processes across two or more product families or possesses the ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products, making decisions based on impact across the stack.

The Enterprise Cloud Architect is tasked with delivering services, workloads, and use-cases for Oracle clients. A strong technology background is essential, combined with robust pre-sales/sales acumen.

You will join a team of highly skilled cloud engineers who blend proven experience and deep subject matter expertise to tackle the most challenging customer issues in the context of strategic sales engagements.

The team’s responsibilities include thoroughly understanding customer business requirements, leading the technical pursuits necessary to secure cloud bookings, and assisting in the customer adoption of Oracle's Cloud capabilities.

Year One Critical Success Factors

  • Establish strong relationships with relevant Sales, Product Management, and Engineering teams.
  • Achieve mastery of Oracle Cloud services.
  • Engage successfully with some of the largest and most strategic accounts, securing several significant technical wins.

What You Can Expect / What You Will Do

  • Customer Engagement: Collaborate with sales strategy and account teams at some of the most strategic Oracle clients to define account strategy and multi-cloud journey, build target state architectures, and achieve technical and commercial success.
  • Influence Product and Region Strategy: Act as a customer advocate to the product group. Develop and maintain critical information regarding customer interactions, including action items, cadence calls, architectural diagrams, and service requirements to influence product direction, scheduling, and regional strategies.
  • Drive Oracle and Partnership Offering Success: Leverage your sales expertise to close deals by demonstrating a deep understanding of cloud solutions, their benefits, and the sales process, while balancing interim product and organizational goals.

What You Will Bring to the Table

  • Ability to navigate and successfully close complex cloud deals, particularly those involving partners, ensuring customer needs are met while aligning with company objectives.
  • Deep understanding of Oracle Cloud and Exadata offerings, including the ability to develop compelling business value justifications using cloud solutions around known customer requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate with resources to lead customers from awareness through acceptance, participating in discovery sessions and producing technical deliverables to guide customers through the adoption lifecycle.
  • Ability to work through a complex stakeholder organization, managing expectations and parallel objectives while providing executive-level guidance both internally and externally.
  • Ability to accelerate adoption by navigating through technical and organizational barriers associated with multi-cloud projects, building relationships with broader Oracle organizations.

Education

A degree in Computer Science is preferred. An advanced degree is a plus.
