Position Overview

The role of Cloud Infrastructure Solutions Engineer is situated within the Technology Systems Infrastructure department of the Americas Division. This position emphasizes collaboration with Infrastructure engineers throughout the architecture, design, and development phases, ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT solutions.

The successful candidate will focus on optimizing the overall infrastructure, both on-premises and in the cloud, while promoting cost-effectiveness and quality. Responsibilities will include mentoring engineering team members and facilitating knowledge transfer.


Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure and Security engineers during the architecture, design, and development phases, providing essential guidance and engineering expertise.
  • Oversee the overall architecture design, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality of IT solutions while mentoring project technical team members.
  • Automate and streamline existing processes to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Create and modify scripts for task automation using PowerCLI, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Provide operational support for infrastructure services across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Engage in assigned infrastructure projects and tasks, adhering to change control processes.
  • Monitor systems and troubleshoot issues for Microsoft Windows Servers and Desktops, both on-premises and in cloud environments (e.g., Azure and AWS).
  • Support level 3 escalations and develop, document, test, and implement engineering solutions.
  • Research and recommend innovative, automated approaches for system administration tasks.
  • Produce detailed implementation instructions and maintain documentation for tasks/projects and management requests.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Systems Infrastructure team and management.
  • Conduct server and security audits, system backup procedures, and recovery processes in line with disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
  • Be prepared for after-hours work as necessary for installations, patching, upgrades, and maintenance.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Distributed Computing Engineer.
  • Strong expertise in Active Directory, including Group Policies, ADFS, LDAP, Kerberos, DNS, DHCP, and AD Replication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows Servers and Desktops.
  • Experience with virtualization and storage technologies.
  • Proficient in scripting with Microsoft PowerShell and automation with a DevOps mindset.
  • Familiarity with CIS Benchmark Standards for Servers and Workstations in both on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring systems.
  • Knowledge of SSO technologies, including Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and SAML/OpenID.
  • Experience in architecting and implementing cloud-based solutions with robust business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
  • Familiarity with Azure AD Provisioning services and Azure Automation.
  • Knowledge of FSLogix File System and Azure Storage for cloud desktop modernization.
  • Experience in automating cloud resource deployments using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop.
