Business Development Director for Army Market Operations

Bowhead is seeking a seasoned Business Development professional to drive growth for our Systems and Information Technology (S&IT) Business Line and Army market operations.


As a Business Development Director, you will be responsible for brand awareness, building, managing, and maturing the Capture opportunities in your pipeline to compete for new business.

The ideal candidate will have superior communication skills and experience working with Army Program Executive Offices (PEO).


Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing effective communication networks with government stakeholders and industry partners to qualify opportunities and gain a better understanding of operational requirements
  • Managing approved Capture and B&P allocations for a pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Identifying, planning, and executing strategies to maintain and expand our existing support to Army customers


Requirements include:

  • Quantified experience writing and reviewing proposals
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Outlook
  • Proven ability to work remotely, managing individual workload, priorities, and schedule with little supervision and must possess the highest business, work, and ethical standards
  • Experience working with DoD prime system contractors/integrators
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance


Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education plus five (5) years operations/project management experience and/or business development experience in a government setting
