Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Manager to join our team at WEST SIDE FED SR. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our residential properties, ensuring that they are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building Management:
    • Supervise and manage the maintenance, administrative, and compliance staff to ensure that all properties are well-maintained and compliant with regulations.
    • Collaborate with the Director of Facilities and the Claremont Superintendent to manage ordering, repairs, and maintenance of properties.
    • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues or concerns.
    • Ensure that all properties are clean and well-maintained, and that all licenses and certificates are up-to-date.
    • Monitor and report on building-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Services to Residents:
    • Work collaboratively with social services and the interdisciplinary team to resolve resident issues and concerns.
    • Collaborate with the Clinical Coordinator/Associate Director to manage intake, admission, and discharge of residents.
    • Be available to negotiate and respond to grievances and reasonable accommodations.
    • Provide crisis intervention as needed and share on-call responsibilities with other team members.
    • Ensure compliance with WSFSSH standards and all contracted agencies, including NYC Department of Homeless Services, NYC Department of Health and Mental Health, and NYC Housing and Preservation Department.
  • Budget and Finance:
    • Operate and manage properties within prescribed budgets and ensure documentation of expenses meets contractual and agency standards.
    • Collect and deposit rents, oversee petty cash, and work with the CFO and Managing Director to establish annual operating budgets.
  • Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Section 8 and LIHTC, knowledge of other Housing subsidy programs preferred.
    • Strong experience working with people who have histories of homelessness, are living with mental illness, addiction, or other chronic conditions.
    • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
    • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record for creating and maintaining positive and mindful change.
    • Ability to collaborate across functional teams and work well under pressure, including crisis situations.
    • Proven management skills, including strong computer skills and facility with Excel, Word, Outlook, and RealPage or similar databases.
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
