Pest Control Service Technician Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Pest Control Service Technician to join our team at Preventive Pest Control. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in helping our customers eliminate unwanted pests and prevent future infestations.

Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries regarding pest management, providing expert advice and solutions to their pest-related concerns.
  • Safety First: Comply with all safety guidelines by wearing protective equipment and following instructions for each pest control product.
  • Record Keeping: Record work activities and complete all paperwork after finishing services, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Pest Elimination: Determine and explain the most efficient way to eliminate an infestation, whether through pesticide use, blockages, mechanical traps, or other methods.
  • Investigation: Investigate each location for warning signs of unwanted pests, such as rodents, vermin, bed bugs, or termites.
  • Scheduling: Schedule appointments with customers by working with our in-office employees, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
Qualifications:
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze situations and provide effective solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact with customers and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to collaborate and support colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Licensing: Willingness to obtain a Pest Control License, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and industry standards.
  • Physical Demands: Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs, climbing stairs, accessing and exiting roof or attic areas utilizing a ladder, and going into crawl spaces, with a strong physical presence and ability to work in a variety of environments.
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent, with a strong foundation in math, science, and communication.
  • Driving Record: Current U.S. driver's license and clean driving record, with a commitment to safe and responsible driving practices.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management.
