The Chief Financial Officer will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive business and operational insights, strategic guidance, and tactical financial assistance to effectively partner with the CEO, senior leadership, and board members. This position is essential for fostering growth, enhancing profitability, generating cash flow, and maximizing equity value. As a vital member of the Senior Leadership team, the CFO will report directly to the CEO and take on a strategic role in the overall governance and management of Camden Homes, LLC.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Regularly review and update accounting policies to align with current GAAP standards.

Audit Oversight:

  • Manage the preparation and execution of financial audits, ensuring they are completed without issues.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to streamline audit processes.
  • Address and resolve any audit discrepancies in a timely manner.

Financial Closing:

  • Guarantee the monthly financial close is finalized within a 10-day timeframe.
  • Review and endorse all closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.

Financial Reporting:

  • Ensure the accuracy of monthly financial reports, to be completed within 15 days after month-end.
  • Present financial statements to senior management and the board.

Internal Controls:

  • Establish and uphold robust internal controls to protect company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.

Tax Management:

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of all tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
  • Develop strategies to optimize the company's tax position.

Financial Planning:

  • Lead financial planning for company initiatives by assessing performance and associated risks.
  • Implement processes across finance and accounting functions tailored to the company's structure.

Risk Management:

  • Maintain awareness of the company's financial standing and proactively prevent issues.
  • Develop a comprehensive risk management framework to address various internal and external risks.

Corporate Governance:

  • Review compliance with lender requirements and ensure timely reporting.

Banking Relationships:

  • Manage relationships with banking institutions and oversee compliance with loan agreements.

Cash Management:

  • Prepare financial forecasts highlighting the company's funding needs.
  • Monitor cash flow across business lines and report any anomalies.

Team Leadership:

  • Set performance targets for finance staff and oversee their development.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the finance team.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Business or Finance.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Extensive experience in a senior financial leadership role.
