Lead Project Manager for Engineering Solutions

Position Overview:

Laitram, a prominent provider of innovative conveyor solutions utilizing modular plastic belts, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to enhance our Digital Solutions (DS) Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) division. This role will involve direct reporting to a Business Relationship Manager (BRM) and will focus on the management of critical projects within our engineering systems.

The Senior Project Manager will be instrumental in guiding projects associated with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications and the implementation of engineering systems. This position encompasses the entire project lifecycle, from inception through to completion, ensuring that strategic engineering initiatives are successfully executed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) in outlining essential business projects
  • Oversee PLM and engineering systems projects from start to finish
  • Establish project scope, objectives, phases, and milestones
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including Project Charter, Project Plan, and Status Reports
  • Identify, address, and escalate project risks and challenges
  • Coordinate project tasks, resources, and team dynamics
  • Ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of all project outputs
  • Lead the project team, offering direction and encouragement
  • Track project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders
  • Achieve significant project milestones such as requirements gathering, testing phases, and project closure
  • Serve as the 'Demand Manager' for ongoing improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT Project Management
  • Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Expertise in project management software such as MS Project and Smartsheet
  • Background in the manufacturing sector or engineering environment
  • PMP or Scrum Master certification is preferred
  • Local candidates are preferred for a hybrid work model
