Cybersecurity Engineer for Xacta Solutions

Position Overview

This role involves executing Information Assurance and Cybersecurity tasks to support the Xacta application suite. The selected candidate will be tasked with assisting clients in the administration of applications, configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting a large-scale enterprise deployment of the Xacta Software Suite, along with its associated systems and processes. The candidate will leverage domain expertise and collaborate with team leaders and clients to convert functional requirements into effective technical security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate familiarity with the Xacta Software Suite, its deployment strategies, and integration with client security protocols.
  • Possess experience in Windows or Linux system administration.
  • Exhibit proficiency in scripting or programming.
  • Deliver technical and programmatic Information Assurance and Cybersecurity services to both internal and external stakeholders, supporting network and information security systems. Design, develop, and implement security requirement workflows within the organization's operational processes.
  • Provide user support for Xacta software users.
  • Offer recommendations for enhancing operational efficiency as necessary.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures for managing the Xacta application suite.
  • Maintain an Active Top Secret Clearance; willingness to pursue a CI Polygraph.
  • Possess a high school diploma or GED with 7+ years of experience in cyber engineering projects, an Associate's degree with 5+ years, a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years, or a Master's degree with 1+ year of relevant experience.
  • Hold a DoD M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification, such as Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, or CND Certification.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD M Cyber Security Service Provider - Infrastructure Support Certification, including CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND Certification, within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the Xacta software suite or similar Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) automation tools.
  • Prior experience in systems security configuration or risk management frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools.
  • Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of Cloud Computing environments (e.g., Azure, AWS, OCI, GCP, etc.).
