Position Overview:

Laitram, a prominent innovator in conveyor technology utilizing modular plastic conveyor systems, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to enhance our Digital Solutions (DS) Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) division. This role will involve direct reporting to a Business Relationship Manager (BRM) and will be pivotal in overseeing various engineering projects.

The Senior Project Manager will be integral in steering initiatives associated with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications and the deployment of engineering systems. This position encompasses the entire project lifecycle, from inception through to completion, ensuring that strategic engineering projects achieve their objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the IT Business Relationship Manager (BRM) in identifying and defining essential business projects.
  • Direct PLM and engineering systems projects from start to finish.
  • Establish project scope, objectives, phases, and milestones.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including Project Charter, Project Plan, and Project Status reports.
  • Identify, manage, and escalate potential project risks and challenges.
  • Oversee project tasks, resource allocation, and team dynamics.
  • Ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of all project components.
  • Lead the project team, offering direction and motivation.
  • Track project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.
  • Achieve significant project milestones, including requirements gathering, testing phases, and project closure.
  • Act as the 'Demand Manager' for ongoing improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT Project Management.
  • Familiarity with SDLC and Agile project management methodologies.
  • Proficient in project management software such as MS Project and Smartsheet.
  • Experience within the manufacturing sector or engineering environment is preferred.
  • PMP or Scrum Master certification is advantageous.
  • Preference for candidates located in the DC/Baltimore area for a hybrid work model.
