Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is integral to the operations team, reporting directly to the Manager. The position requires no travel and is classified as Hourly Non-Exempt. The working hours are during the 1st Shift and the employment type is Full-Time.

ABOUT BOLTHOUSE FRESH FOODS:
Founded in 2023, Bolthouse Fresh Foods, a subsidiary of Butterfly Equity, is based in the heart of California's Central Valley. The company is dedicated to the production of high-quality carrots, serving both retail and food service sectors under the well-known Bolthouse Farms brand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up and operate automated bagging machinery.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary packaging materials at the workstation.
  • Regularly monitor equipment such as scales and metal detectors to maintain quality standards.
  • Load and unload the bagging machine efficiently.
  • Inspect finished bags to confirm compliance with customer specifications.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and perform moderate repairs on equipment as needed.
  • Document any equipment downtime or quality issues and communicate them to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, replenishing supplies as necessary.
  • Adhere to safety and quality regulations while working collaboratively with the team.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents.
  • Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence.
  • Knowledge of basic math concepts.
  • Flexibility in scheduling as production demands.
  • Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent, or one to three months of related experience or training.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Six months to one year in a food production or manufacturing environment, with knowledge of OSHA and GMP regulations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to work in cold/wet conditions, handle moving mechanical parts, and lift up to 30 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods.
