The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in upholding the functionality of all mechanical systems while adhering to environmental and safety regulations. Candidates should possess welding experience, which will be utilized upon employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety and environmental protocols, reporting any unsafe or non-compliant actions.
  • Maintain mechanical systems, including chemical transfer pumps, vacuum pumps, valves, conveyors, hydraulic units, and mobile equipment.
  • Address and resolve equipment issues through work orders.
  • Respond promptly to any operational downtimes.
  • Implement and maintain preventative maintenance schedules with precise record-keeping.
  • Ensure cleanliness and compliance in the workshop area according to safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges, collaborating with engineers as necessary.
  • Proactively identify, diagnose, and repair potential issues using preventive maintenance and inspection tools. Attend all required training and safety meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required. A minimum of 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience is essential. Proficiency in cutting, grinding, and welding is necessary.
  • Ability to recognize worn components and knowledge of replacement procedures.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Basic mathematical skills are required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Demonstrate behaviors aligned with company values and standards, showing self-motivation and initiative.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Familiarity with Google Drive, Windows-based software, word processing, and spreadsheet management.
