Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is essential in ensuring the efficient operation of the bagging process for fresh products. The individual will report directly to the Manager and will work primarily on the 1st Shift as a full-time employee.

ABOUT BOLTHOUSE FRESH FOODS:
Founded in 2023, Bolthouse Fresh Foods, a subsidiary of Butterfly Equity, is located in the California Central Valley. The company is dedicated to producing high-quality carrots and serves both retail and food service sectors, recognized for its Bolthouse Farms brand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set up and manage automated bagging machinery.
  • Ensure that packaging materials are readily available at the workstation.
  • Conduct regular monitoring of scales, water injection systems, and metal detectors to maintain quality standards.
  • Load and unload the bagging machine as necessary.
  • Inspect finished bags to confirm adherence to customer specifications.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and make moderate repairs to machinery as needed.
  • Document any equipment downtime or quality issues and communicate with the supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace and restock supplies as required.
  • Comply with safety and quality regulations and support team objectives.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to interpret safety and operational documentation.
  • Proficient in writing routine reports and basic correspondence.
  • Familiarity with basic math concepts.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as production demands.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; or one to three months of related experience or training.
  • Preferred: Six months to one year of experience in a food production or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, GMP, FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations is a plus.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are advantageous.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work in cold/wet environments.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes and airborne particles.
  • Ability to lift, slide, and carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Capability to stand for long periods.
