POSITION SUMMARY

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor II is tasked with overseeing all activities related to building maintenance to ensure the infrastructure remains in excellent condition and that facilities are secure and well-kept. This role requires strong organizational skills to optimize space and equipment usage while minimizing operational costs. The position reports to the Production Maintenance Manager.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Plan and coordinate all installations and refurbishments, including wastewater systems, boilers, air compressors, and electrical systems.
  • Oversee the maintenance of equipment and supplies to comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct inspections of building structures to identify necessary repairs or renovations.
  • Analyze utility consumption and implement strategies to reduce costs.
  • Supervise all facility staff, including custodians, technicians, and groundskeepers, as well as external contractors.
  • Manage activities related to parking space allocation, waste disposal, and building security.
  • Allocate office space based on operational needs.
  • Administer service contracts and maintain accurate financial and non-financial records.
  • Perform analysis and forecasting to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate closely with maintenance facilities supervisors.
  • Execute other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 7-8 employees.
  • Support staff development through recruitment, orientation, and training while ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Communicate job expectations and assess performance through planning and monitoring.
  • Establish strategic goals and evaluate trends to guide actions and objectives.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Utilize excellent time management skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within facilities management.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain an L2 Certification.
  • Familiarity with technical and engineering operations as well as best practices in facilities management.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent time management capabilities.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and train team members.
  • Strong consultative, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position necessitates physical capability to work in a production environment.

FREQUENT: Ability to communicate effectively; stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; operate machinery and equipment.

OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, reaching above shoulder height, and wearing a dust mask. Exposure to chemicals may occur.

VISION: Ability to utilize close and distance vision, as well as color and peripheral vision. Must be able to identify obstacles in a fast-paced environment.

HEARING: Ability to hear within the normal audio range. Exposure to noise from machinery and equipment is expected.
