Residential Services Operations Leader

This full-time, non-exempt role is responsible for overseeing a skilled team of monitors dedicated to ensuring the safety, security, and sanitation of the facility, in alignment with the standards set by The Kintock Group and contractual obligations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, mentor, and assess the performance of proficient monitors.
- Assist in the creation and execution of work schedules to adequately cover each shift in the facility.
- Guarantee that resident supervisors fulfill all shift responsibilities as per contractual and company standards, including conducting formal resident counts.
- Ensure adherence to all accountability protocols mandated by contracts related to resident supervisors' duties.
- Train new staff, address and resolve complaints, implement corrective actions, develop work schedules, oversee post assignments, and manage PTO requests.
- Conduct inquiries into resident misconduct.
- Provide ongoing orientation and training for operations monitors regarding company policies and contract agency guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and visitors, employing tact, diplomacy, and sound judgment.
- Perform inspections of housing units and communal areas to ensure compliance with security, health, and sanitation standards; guide staff and residents in rectifying identified issues.
- Review and process reports and documentation generated during shifts promptly and accurately, including disciplinary and administrative reports.
- Take appropriate measures to prevent or de-escalate potentially disruptive situations.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels in designated areas and fill in as necessary during staffing shortages.
- Verify that all monitors maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Participate in mandatory training and development sessions.
- Maintain proficiency in supervisory skills and contribute to the evaluation of operations monitors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or Senior Operations Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
A minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Operations Monitor or two (2) years in a related field is required. Leadership experience is preferred. Certifications in First Aid and CPR, along with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, are mandatory.
KNOWLEDGE:
Familiarity with modern correctional principles and practices concerning resident accountability; understanding of the Contracting Agency's Statement of Work; knowledge of company and contracting agency policies and procedures; awareness of the chain of authority within the organization; comprehension of the roles and responsibilities of effective supervisors and resident supervisors.
ABILITIES:
Ability to work a rotating schedule; establish authority and communicate effectively; convey information clearly, both verbally and in writing, across all levels; practice teamwork and manage conflicts; conduct investigations and prepare detailed written reports; identify and report issues promptly and accurately; assign tasks and ensure their completion; organize and supervise resources and projects; train, evaluate, and document personnel actions; establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues; meet clearance requirements set by the contracting agency.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required. An associate's degree is preferred, along with advanced training in supervisory or management practices.
