Job Summary:

The Computed Tomography Technologist is responsible for utilizing computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues. This role requires a strong understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist and be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately interpret physician's scanning instructions

Administer contrast material

Prepare and operate CT scan equipment

Ability to position patient to capture appropriate images

Send images to Radiologist for interpretation/reading

Cleans and disinfects scanner and exam rooms

Follow infection control and safety guidelines

Requirements:

Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology

Valid New York State radiology registration

Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology

Current CPR/BLS Certification

CT certification within one year from hire date

Working Conditions:

The Computed Tomography Technologist must understand and accept the possibility of exposure to inside environmental conditions, such as radiation, noise, infectious/communicable diseases, blood, and blood-borne diseases.

Medium work: standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, and lifting as per detail above

Pay Range:
$51.10Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
