Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at St. Joseph's Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating computerized tomography scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately interpret physician's scanning instructions
  • Administer contrast material
  • Prepare and operate CT scan equipment
  • Position patients to capture appropriate images
  • Send images to radiologists for interpretation
  • Clean and disinfect scanner and exam rooms
  • Follow infection control and safety guidelines
Requirements
  • Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist is strongly preferred
  • Valid New York State radiology registration
  • Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification
Working Conditions

The Computed Tomography Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to radiation, noise, and infectious diseases. The successful candidate must be able to lift and move patients as needed and work effectively in a team environment.
