Job Summary:

The Computed Tomography Technologist is responsible for operating computerized tomography scanners to produce high-quality images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. This role requires a strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and pathology, as well as excellent communication and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately position patients for CT scans

Administer contrast material as needed

Operate CT scan equipment to produce high-quality images

Send images to radiologists for interpretation

Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff

Requirements:

Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology

Minimum of two years' experience as a Radiologic Technologist

Valid New York State radiology registration

Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology

Current CPR/BLS Certification

Working Conditions:

The Computed Tomography Technologist works in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to radiation, noise, and infectious diseases. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential for success in this role.

Pay Range:

$51.10 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education.
