Disability Vocational Training Specialist

Tommy Nobis Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Disability Vocational Training Specialist to join our team. As a Disability Vocational Training Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, scheduling, and implementing education and training services for our Early Youth Employment Services (EYES) program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement program guides, timelines, and project plans to ensure effective delivery of services to students in the EYES program.
- Teach pre-vocational skills curriculum, including career exploration, job readiness, and interview skills, to high school and GED students.
- Meet with referral sources, schools, and parent advisory groups to plan and implement program services.
- Develop and deliver curriculum training to students and staff.
- Schedule class times with identified schools and conduct initial site visits to ensure effective program implementation.
- Supervise and teach classes in schools, at partner locations, and at Tommy Nobis Center.
- Maintain effective control and management of classroom environments.
- Assist in the development of community sites for summer EYES programs.
- Develop and complete weekly and monthly status reports for participants.
- Responsible for monthly billing process with referral sources.
- Track and collect performance metrics and outcomes.
- Bachelor's Degree in special education, rehabilitation, sociology, behavioral sciences, or business administration.
- 3 years' experience in vocational rehabilitation or teaching role.
- Experience teaching or delivering career/work readiness to individuals with disabilities.
- Mission-driven individual with a strong customer service orientation and youth-focused approach.
- Excellent engagement and presentation skills.
- Results-oriented with ability to meet assigned deadlines.
- Highly organized and accurate in completing work assignments.
- Possesses creativity and ability to effectively engage youth and build rapport.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with assigned duties.
- Possesses a working knowledge of Windows environment in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- General knowledge of other office equipment such as copiers, scanners, fax machine, etc.
