About the Role

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at SpringHealth Behavioral Health and Integrated Care. As a Behavioral Health Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality behavioral services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Model and Train Staff:**

Develop and implement training programs to educate staff on Positive Behavior Support methodology, ensuring they have the necessary skills to provide effective support to clients.

**Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration:**

Work closely with Interdisciplinary Teams (IDTs) to provide expertise on behavioral issues, ensuring comprehensive care for our clients.

**Behavior Plan Development and Implementation:**

Assess, design, train, monitor, and report on Behavior Plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

**Behavioral Assessments and Treatment:**

Conduct descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, and provide behavior analytic interpretations of the results. Provide direct behavioral treatment to clients via replacement skills training, social skills training, crisis de-escalation, group behavioral treatment, individual behavioral treatment, and/or skills coaching in all applicable settings.

**Restraint Use and Monitoring:**

Monitor restraint use and provide training to reduce its use, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our clients.

**Challenging Behavior Monitoring:**

Monitor and address challenging behavior, ensuring our clients receive the support they need to thrive.

**Committee Participation:**

Participate in Behavior Intervention Committee, Human Rights Committee, and other relevant committees, as assigned, to ensure our clients receive comprehensive care.

Requirements
  • **Education:**

A Doctoral or Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related discipline is required. Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification is mandatory.

**Language Skills:**

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to individuals and other employees of the organization.

**Reasoning Ability:**

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to make independent decisions with good judgment and attention to detail.

**Physical Demands:**

The employee must be able to participate and demonstrate their knowledge of approved crisis management procedures.
