About the Role
This Administrative Assistant position offers a competitive salary of $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. You will work closely with the Director to ensure the smooth operation of the office, including typing letters, memos, reports, and other internal and external correspondence without dictation. Your duties will also include maintaining filing systems, receiving and relaying messages, scheduling appointments, routing office mail, ordering supplies, and compiling time reports.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage the Education and Training office, ensuring efficient communication and record-keeping
• Provide advanced secretarial support to the Director of Education and Training
• Type letters, memos, reports, and other internal and external correspondence without dictation
• Maintain filing systems, receive and relay messages, schedule appointments, and route office mail
• Order supplies through the Purchasing And Requisition Tracking Systems (PARTS) and maintain accurate logs for purchases
• Compile time reports through People Soft Systems for Programming and Vocational Services
• Prepare and book travel, coordinate meetings, and prepare minutes
• Assist in preparing forms for Human Resource functions
• Serve as the primary computer operator for the Education and Training Department
• Participate in disaster response and recovery efforts as needed

Requirements
• Excellent writing skills, editing material, and drafting emails
• Knowledge of electronic devices and electrical equipment, including printers, fax machines, laptops, projectors, and laminating machines
• Excellent computer skills, including typing 50 plus words per minute, developing PowerPoint presentations, graphic arts, and creating Excel documents
• Ability to communicate professionally with colleagues, contract vendors, and the public
