The Head of Talent Management and Strategy is essential in shaping and executing comprehensive strategies across key areas such as Learning and Development, Performance Enhancement, Talent Management, Organizational Structuring, Talent Acquisition, Employment Branding, and Change Facilitation. These initiatives are designed to foster a culture of continuous learning and development throughout the organization, ultimately supporting sustained business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate a strategy for performance enhancement and management aligned with overarching organizational objectives. Supervise the team responsible for performance gap analysis, root cause identification, and development of integrated solutions to address identified gaps.
  • Establish a strategy for the development of Wawa's human capital and overarching learning and development initiatives. Oversee the team responsible for curriculum design, instructional methodologies, knowledge management, and learning technology.
  • Devise a strategy for facilitating organizational change. Lead the team that develops methodologies for change risk assessment, resistance management, adoption planning, and impact evaluation.
  • Create plans to integrate talent development initiatives across all business functions. Collaborate with various departments to align with business strategies and goals, while embodying the organizational culture and values.
  • Lead the organizational design function, developing methodologies that support company success and growth.
  • Oversee the design and execution of recruitment strategies for various operational areas and manage the ongoing refinement of the Employment Branding strategy.
  • Work with People Team leadership to implement new policies and align HR strategies with business objectives, gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Drive the development of succession planning initiatives for leadership roles across Wawa, establishing policies and guidelines for advancement.
  • Formulate strategies to attract, retain, and develop diverse talent that supports the company's strategic growth and competitive edge.
  • Provide leadership and support to the team, ensuring high standards of performance and offering coaching and development opportunities.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Talent Management, Learning & Development, or related fields, with relevant management experience.
  • Strong understanding of Human Performance Improvement and Change Management.
  • Proven success in developing learning and leadership strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Deep knowledge of the learning technology landscape.
  • Experience in project management with a track record of leading large-scale initiatives.
  • Experience in facilitating productive brainstorming sessions.
  • Familiarity with retail organizations and managing a geographically dispersed workforce.
  • Ability to inspire creativity and operationalize ideas.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing a P&L.
