Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and engineer municipal projects, focusing on the design and construction of water mains, sanitary and storm sewers, as well as roads and sidewalks, while overseeing related studies such as water reliability assessments, feasibility studies, and capital improvement planning.
  • Direct preliminary and final design and construction phase services for municipal projects.
  • Conduct technical analysis and documentation.
  • Define and monitor project scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Cultivate and maintain client relationships.
  • Supervise and mentor project team members, including setting goals, problem-solving, coaching, and providing career guidance.
  • Coordinate and manage pursuits with the Business Development team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering and Michigan PE registration; 10+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with MDOT LAP preliminary and construction engineering is advantageous.
  • Experience in the study, planning, design, and project management of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, as well as transportation projects, including funding agency coordination and project permitting.
  • Experience in municipal project construction administration and field review; construction management experience is also desirable.
  • Proven track record in client management, budget preparation, and schedule adherence.
  • Experience in relationship development and proposal writing.
  • Knowledgeable about municipal, township, and county government practices and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
