FACILITIES OPERATIONS MANAGER

$23.00/hour

APPLICATIONS MUST BE COMPLETE AND SIGNED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW.

IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE IN DRYWALL, SPACKLING, WOODWORK REPAIR, AND PAINTING.

KNOWLEDGE OF BASIC TO ADVANCED ELECTRICAL AND PLUMBING SYSTEMS IS REQUIRED. FAMILIARITY WITH AIR CONDITIONING AND REFRIGERATION IS A PLUS.

CANDIDATES MUST BE SELF-MOTIVATED AND ABLE TO WORK WITH MINIMAL SUPERVISION. THIS ROLE REQUIRES A HANDS-ON APPROACH WITH ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND A WILLINGNESS TO TRAIN OTHERS.

EXPERIENCE IN HEALTHCARE MAINTENANCE IS PREFERRED.

YOU WILL WORK CLOSELY WITH THE MAINTENANCE/HOUSEKEEPING DIRECTOR AND SUPERVISE ONE ASSOCIATE IN TRAINING, COLLABORATING ON WORK ASSIGNMENTS. MAINTENANCE IS ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR TRASH COLLECTION.

YOU AND YOUR ASSOCIATE WILL DEVELOP A SCHEDULE TO ENSURE WEEKEND COVERAGE.

What you will need for this position:
  • Oversee and manage daily maintenance operations for the community
  • Evaluate and monitor outside contractors
  • Coordinate safety drills and maintain necessary documentation
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for buildings and equipment
  • Conduct interviews and recommend hiring of new maintenance staff as needed
  • General knowledge of all aspects of building maintenance, including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, appliance repair, heating, cooling, and life safety systems
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Licensed HVAC Technician preferred, but not required
