Denver, Colorado, United States Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. Full time

Overview
Amazon Web Services (AWS) stands as the premier cloud service provider, offering a wide array of virtualized infrastructure, storage, networking, messaging, and additional services to clients globally, including those within the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC).

Team Responsibilities
The AWS Security team, focusing on US ADC Security, Industrial Security & Compliance, is tasked with the development, execution, and oversight of Amazon's National Industrial Security Program (NISP).

Role Summary
As a Security Program Manager supporting the AWS NISP, you will collaborate with a team of top-tier security professionals working alongside the U.S. Government to manage and enhance leading security programs and processes in support of the IC Information Technology Enterprise. This role demands innovative thinking paired with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and a focus on quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
We are seeking an outstanding Security Program Manager with a proven history of managing security initiatives within secured facilities, demonstrated project management capabilities, extensive knowledge of program security, and a thorough understanding of government security protocols, processes, and requirements.

In this position at an accredited AWS location, you will oversee the implementation of various security disciplines to support dynamic classified operations and handle a range of projects aimed at safeguarding personnel, National Security Information, and critical infrastructure from both internal and external threats.

Customer Focus
You must prioritize both internal and external clients, successfully delivering support and services in a rapidly changing environment.

Independent Management
Capable of operating autonomously, you will manage security projects, continuously assess and prioritize tasks, communicate effectively and persuasively (without relying on presentations), think innovatively, and deliver exceptional results.

Eligibility Requirements
This position requires that the selected candidate be a U.S. Citizen and currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

Essential Duties

  • Provide comprehensive program security guidance on personnel, physical, operational, technical, information, industrial, counterintelligence, and cybersecurity matters.
  • Develop, implement, communicate, and manage security protocols at a government-accredited facility while delivering daily multidisciplinary program security operations support.
  • Proactively identify program and physical security needs, challenges, and effective solutions to ensure the security of program execution.
  • Oversee the maintenance of security hardware and systems utilized onsite to comply with government and AWS security standards.
  • Foster and enhance relationships with internal (operations personnel, engineers, colleagues, etc.) and external (vendors, contractors, government personnel, etc.) partners to elevate security awareness and engagement.
  • Be prepared to participate in on-call rotations to support alarms, security incidents, and critical service disruptions.

Our team is committed to supporting new members. We have a diverse mix of experience levels and Amazon tenures, and we are cultivating an environment that values knowledge sharing and mentorship.

At AWS, we celebrate our differences and are dedicated to promoting a culture of inclusion. We have ten employee-led affinity groups, engaging 40,000 employees across more than 190 chapters worldwide.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a Program Security Officer/CPSO/Security Specialist/Security Manager role, with responsibilities involving the interpretation and implementation of requirements across personnel, industrial, and physical security disciplines.
