About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary AWS Data Lakehouse End-to-End Data Management Lead to oversee the comprehensive data management strategy for our data lakehouse in AWS Cloud.

Key Responsibilities
  • Metadata Management
    • Design and implement a robust metadata management framework, ensuring comprehensive data tagging and classification across the data lakehouse.
    • Develop and maintain a tag ontology that facilitates effective data discovery, governance, and access management.
  • Data Catalogs and Lineage
    • Develop and manage technical and business data catalogs that provide clear, accessible views of data assets across the organization.
    • Establish and maintain data lineage tracking to ensure transparency and traceability of data flows within the AWS Cloud platform.
  • Data Access and Entitlements
    • Oversee data access management strategies, ensuring that data entitlements are appropriately defined and enforced based on business needs and regulatory requirements.
    • Implement role-based access controls and other security measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Data Quality and Governance
    • Lead the development and enforcement of data quality standards, monitoring, and improvement initiatives across the data lakehouse.
    • Establish a data governance framework that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements, promoting accountability and stewardship across the organization.
  • Reference and Master Data Management
    • Implement and manage reference and master data management solutions to ensure consistency and accuracy across the data ecosystem.
    • Collaborate with business units to define and maintain critical data elements and data hierarchies.
  • Data Privacy, Security, and Masking
    • Develop and enforce data privacy and security policies in alignment with industry regulations, ensuring that sensitive data is protected throughout its lifecycle.
    • Implement data masking techniques to safeguard sensitive information while enabling data analytics and processing.
  • Data Stewardship and Lifecycle Management
    • Establish and lead data stewardship programs, promoting best practices in data management and ensuring data assets are well-governed and maintained.
    • Oversee data lifecycle management, ensuring that data retention, archiving, and deletion processes are effectively managed.
  • Structured and Unstructured Data Management
    • Lead initiatives to manage and optimize both structured and unstructured data within the AWS Cloud platform, ensuring efficient storage, access, and utilization.
    • Develop strategies for integrating and managing diverse data types, including text, images, and other unstructured data formats.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • 10+ years of experience in data management, with a strong focus on cloud-based environments.
  • Skills
    • Extensive experience with AWS Cloud services and data lakehouse architecture.
    • Proven track record in metadata management, data governance, and data quality management.
    • Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance in the financial domain.
    • Experience managing both structured and unstructured data within cloud platforms.
    • Proficiency in data cataloging tools, data lineage tracking, and data masking techniques.
