PRIMARY FUNCTION:


The Regional Vice President (RVP) is a key leadership position tasked with providing strategic oversight and guidance for the regions within their designated area, while managing the division's initiatives, fundraising efforts, and community relations.

The RVP will lead a team of regional and divisional staff, cultivate relationships with stakeholders, advocate for ADL's mission, and ensure effective outcomes.

The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in program oversight, fundraising, personnel development, and community involvement.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
Formulate and execute strategies to promote ADL's mission within the region.

Provide direction and support to regional and divisional staff in the design and implementation of programs and initiatives.

Guide the development and execution of strategies aimed at enhancing program effectiveness and organizational growth.

Fundraising and Development:


Collaborate with subject matter experts to spearhead regional fundraising initiatives by establishing fundraising objectives, crafting strategies, and nurturing donor relationships.

Engage directly with major donors and maintain robust connections with funders.

Secure grants and alternative funding sources. Work alongside ADL Development teams to draft proposals.

Assist in ongoing donor engagement, and design and implement fundraising events, programs, and campaigns.

Program Management:
Plan and oversee the execution of ADL's programs and policies tailored to the specific needs and challenges of local communities.

Ensure the provision of high-quality programs and services to the community.

Community Engagement and Relations:
Act as ADL's representative in the community, media, and with public officials, advocating for the organization's mission and principles.

Develop and execute community outreach initiatives and collaborative projects with diverse organizations in the region.

Engage in government affairs activities and advocate for ADL's priorities at local and state levels.


Network and build partnerships with industry, academia, civil society organizations, government officials, law enforcement, religious leaders, and other key stakeholders.


Team Management and Development:


Champion the development and advancement of diverse talent within the team by assigning challenging tasks, fostering creativity, and providing supportive mentoring and coaching.

Build a collaborative and high-performing team.

Manage educational and talent development initiatives based on regional and national priorities.

Embrace and promote ADL's diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

Recruit, hire, and oversee regional teams, establishing performance benchmarks and offering continuous feedback.

Implement training and development systems to enhance the skills and capabilities of the team.

Engage with volunteer leadership, providing guidance and training opportunities.

Media and Public Relations:
Address inquiries from the media and the public, showcasing expertise in ADL's policies and positions.


Monitor media coverage and opinion pieces, responding with press releases and opinion articles in collaboration with subject matter experts.

Deliver presentations and speeches to elevate public awareness of ADL's mission and initiatives.

Budget and Operations:
Establish and oversee the regional operating budget, ensuring financial accountability.

Manage the administration of physical office space in coordination with National Staff.

Exceptional communication abilities with experts and senior leaders, both internally and externally. Highly effective public speaking skills.

Experience engaging with private foundations and donors to secure philanthropic support for the organization.

Ability to articulate and represent complex and diverse issues compellingly.

Skilled in building personal and professional networks and coalitions.

Proven diplomatic and conflict resolution capabilities.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.

A strong connection to ADL's mission and objectives.

Work Experience:


The ideal candidate should possess significant experience leading a large, multifaceted team within a distributed organization, including leadership roles in community relations or community service organizations or other relevant sectors.

Demonstrated success in program development, fundraising, personnel management, and volunteer relations.

Education:


A bachelor's degree, preferably a graduate degree, in a relevant field, along with additional related coursework or professional training or equivalent work experience.


Work Environment:
This role operates in a hybrid environment; it may require in-office presence on certain days.

Willingness to travel extensively and represent ADL within the region and, at times, across the country.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $200,000 to $230,000. This range reflects a position based in a metropolitan area.

Please note that actual salaries are commensurate with experience and reflect the budget for a given position. ADL employs a location-based compensation structure, which may result in different salary ranges for candidates in other locations.
