Corporate Treasury Specialist

Waste Connections is seeking a Corporate Treasury Specialist to enhance our finance team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate daily cash flow reports to ensure optimal management;
  • Draft documentation for treasury operations including wire transfers, confirmations, borrowing notifications, and investment activities;
  • Oversee the documentation process for establishing, closing, and modifying corporate banking accounts and services, while ensuring an updated registry of bank accounts and authorized signatories;
  • Assist in the management of the treasury cash management system, reviewing account balances and borrowing limits while considering foreign exchange implications;
  • Facilitate the arrangement of letters of credit and standby trust agreements;
  • Prepare month-end accounting entries and maintain various supporting schedules;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Accounts Receivable/Payable, and Tax;
  • Support requests for documentation from both internal and external audits;
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is essential;
  • 2-3 years of experience in a corporate treasury environment is preferred;
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong analytical abilities;
  • Proficient interpersonal skills with the capacity to collaborate across various management levels;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
