We are seeking a highly motivated and resourceful Legal Assistant to join our team at Cona Elder Law, an award-winning Elder Law and Estate Planning law firm located in Melville. As an Executive Assistant, you will work closely with the Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer to provide administrative support and contribute to the growth of our dynamic firm.

Estimated Salary Range

$70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, based on national averages for similar positions in New York.

You will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, managing calendars, communicating with clients, and assisting with marketing functions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, be able to multitask, and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Managing Partner, including handling phone calls, messages, and follow-ups, managing calendars, and coordinating workflow.
  • Assist with client interactions, manage new client consultations, and inquiries, set up new matters in document and billing systems, and assist with billing and firm financial matters.
  • Maintain accurate tracking charts for clients and organizations.
  • Contribute to reception coverage and collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer to coordinate workflow and assist with administrative and marketing functions.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Prior law office experience essential.
  • A post-high school degree, preferably a 4-year degree, or an Associates degree acceptable.
  • Experience with Microsoft Applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with lawyers and staff.
  • Able to prioritize tasks, work independently, and maintain confidentiality.
