KPMG is seeking an Embark Scholar Intern to join our team and participate in our Embark Scholars program.

To be eligible, candidates must be currently pursuing a degree in Accountancy, Taxation, or a related field, and be committed to obtaining a CPA certification.

We are looking for candidates who possess excellent communication, task, time management and leadership skills, and who are flexible and adaptable team players.

Responsibilities will include rotating through our audit, tax and advisory businesses to learn and understand how we serve our clients and what a career in professional services offers.

Responsibilities:
  1. Rotate through our audit, tax and advisory businesses to learn and understand how we serve our clients and what a career in professional services offers
  2. Provide a spectrum of assignments across practices; work as part of the engagement teams to support the use of audit methodology and Data and Analytics (D&A) and tax and advisory related tasks
  3. Assist engagement teams to create work paper files, prepare client reports and deliverables and organize business development activities
  4. Assist with identifying the scope of engagement capabilities, review client materials, provide insights gained and propose how analysis can be leveraged to execute
  5. Leverage a range of technologies and analytics tools
  6. Contribute to the integrity and transparency of financial information
Qualifications:
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college, university or community college and pursuing or intending to pursue a degree in Accountancy, Taxation, or a related field
  • Intention to obtain a CPA certification is preferred
  • Candidates must have completed at least 1 semester of coursework at the time of application
  • Upon completion of the Embark Scholars internship program, candidates must have at least 3 additional semesters to complete before obtaining their degree and/or CPA eligibility requirements
  • Preferred GPA of 3.00 or above
