Audit Manager Position

Job Summary:
The Audit Senior Manager position at UHY LLP is a key role in guiding and overseeing our clients, as well as supporting our internal leaders and the growth of our Melville, NY office.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Audit Senior Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and reviewing procedures involved in planning and executing attestation engagements for clients in accordance with applicable accounting standards. This includes managing client engagements, maintaining client relationships, and acting as a liaison between internal staff and leaders to ensure high-quality work is conducted and delivered to our clients.
Key Duties:
Regular duties include (but are not limited to):
• Performing and assisting with audits, reviews, and compilations for clients in various industries
• Overseeing and reviewing financial statements and evaluating internal controls
• Assisting with the coordination of day-to-day duties of planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up
• Developing a deep understanding of accounting and reporting standards
• Developing reasonable time budgets and coordinating audit requests to meet time constraints and client deadlines
• Interacting with clients to ensure efficient information flow from the client to the audit team
• Communicating with clients, management, and the managing director on work status and client issues that arise
Requirements:
Experience: 8+ years in accounting, with public accounting preferred. Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting for Audit or Tax, or a related Business Degree for Consulting. License/Certification: Must be a CPA for Audit, and may need equivalent certification for other disciplines. Must maintain required CPE credits annually. May possibly have other industry or specialization certification. Legal/Compliance: Must complete acknowledgement of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards document. Government engagements require ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government.

This range considers many factors, including but not limited to a candidate's knowledge, job specific skills, experience, licensure, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $140,000 to $215,000.
