Job Overview

Position: Technical Solutions Engineer

Location: Remote - East Coast Time Zone

PVM, Inc is currently in search of a skilled Technical Solutions Engineer who possesses a pre-existing account with the IRS (Tier 2/MBI or higher). In this role, you will engage in the development and implementation of innovative technical solutions that tackle our clients' most pressing challenges. By utilizing our platform, you will integrate data, produce actionable insights, and develop high-quality applications that inform operational decisions.

Your work will involve collaborating with clients globally, providing you with exceptional exposure to critical industries and institutions. Each assignment presents unique challenges, whether it involves navigating intricate regulatory frameworks, managing diverse datasets, or accommodating various user demographics. Your primary objective will be to adapt to all environmental factors to deliver significant technical results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the transfer of data feeds from source systems into accessible locations for our platform.
  • Resolve issues related to delayed or missing data feeds.
  • Develop transformations and derive new datasets utilizing Spark for distributed computing.
  • Oversee build progress and troubleshoot build-related issues.
  • Employ the application development framework to create applications that address operational inquiries.
  • Engage in rapid development and iteration cycles with subject matter experts, including testing and resolving application issues.
  • Execute requests for information regarding the platform's data footprint.
  • Participate in the engineering team's on-call rotations for urgent technical support needs.
  • Triage and address customer support inquiries through email, ticket-based systems, and direct interactions, leveraging your expertise with our product platform.

Qualifications:

  • Pre-existing account with IRS (Tier 2/MBI or higher)
  • This position may require a government clearance up to TS/SCI for future projects.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong engineering background, ideally in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
  • Familiarity with data structures, storage systems, cloud infrastructure, front-end frameworks, and other technical tools.
