Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resource Assistant to join our team at Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health. As a key member of our HR department, you will provide professional-level human resources customer service to all members of our team, supporting various HR processes and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process HRIS transactions and maintain accurate records
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide timely support
  • Update employee personnel data and maintain personnel records
  • Manage certification and licensure data, and communicate deadlines to employees
  • Assist with scheduling interviews and new employee orientation
  • Maintain training records and transcripts, and initiate onboarding documents
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience providing human resource assistance in benefits, recruitment, compensation, employee relations, training, EEO, and HRIS
  • Knowledge of I-9 standards and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) standards
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Considerable experience coordinating administrative duties and responsibilities in an office environment
  • Skilled in providing excellent customer service and using computer systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office
