Job Title: Program Coordinator/Assistant Professor

The Virginia Department of Human Resource Management is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Program Coordinator/Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing and Allied Health.

Job Summary:

This is a tenure-track position that requires a strong academic background and experience in teaching and research. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the graduate program, teaching courses, and engaging in scholarly activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the graduate program, including admission and denial of applicants, student petitions, and appeals.
  • Teach assigned courses, including online courses, and develop curriculum.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, professional development, and service.
  • Support marketing and recruitment efforts for the graduate program.
  • Follow all administrative requirements, including class rosters, student learning, grading, and testing practices.
Requirements:
  • Ph.D. or Doctorate in Health Informatics or a related field.
  • Record of teaching online courses in institutions of higher learning, using Blackboard.
  • Evidence of scholarly activities, professional development, and service.
  • Experience in the use of technology, software, and resources to assist in the delivery of course content.
  • Experience working in the healthcare field.
  • Evidence of Online Instructor Certification and/or Quality Matters Certification.
