Electronics Maintenance Specialist

Peraton is in search of an Electronics Technician to provide vital support in our operations. With over three decades of experience, we have collaborated with clients to enhance significant missions worldwide, delivering innovative and dependable solutions for Intelligence, Defense, and Federal Civilian Agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts research, design, development, and testing of various electronic systems and equipment, such as radar and radiation detection tools, communication devices, circuitry components, and control systems.
- Designs and evaluates electronic systems, components, or circuits intended for integration into equipment or machinery.
- Assesses operational systems and suggests design modifications to rectify malfunctions or adapt to evolving system requirements.
- Explores new applications of conductive properties in both metallic and nonmetallic materials for component integration into products or systems.
- Utilizes computer-assisted engineering and design software to facilitate project assignments.
- Creates testing apparatus and equipment, establishing procedures for product testing.
- Performs installation, configuration, and maintenance tasks related to electronic devices.
- Conducts basic analyses of electronic circuits and executes necessary repairs.
- Active Top Secret clearance required, with the potential for upgrade to TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; additional experience may substitute for educational requirements.
- At least one year of soldering experience with demonstrable proficiency.
- Minimum of one year in designing, constructing, or repairing basic electronic circuits involving transistors and operational amplifiers.
- Experience of at least one year in the installation and configuration of IP equipment commonly found in smart homes, including IP cameras and security systems.
- Prior experience in installing and testing network cables, patch panels, and racks.
- Familiarity with laboratory instruments such as Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Logic Analyzers, and Multi-Meters.
- Strong analytical skills and effective technical troubleshooting abilities.

Compensation Range
The typical salary range for this position is between $80,000 and $128,000, reflecting the standard compensation based on experience and other relevant factors.
