Role Overview

Peraton is in search of an Electronics Technician to provide support in the realm of electronic systems and equipment. With over three decades of experience, we have collaborated with clients to enhance critical missions worldwide, delivering innovative and dependable solutions for Intelligence, Defense, and Federal Civilian Agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts research, design, development, and testing of various electronic systems and equipment, including radar and radiation detection devices, communication systems, and circuitry components.
  • Designs and evaluates electronic systems, components, or circuits for integration into machinery or equipment.
  • Assesses operational systems and suggests design alterations to rectify malfunctions or adapt to changing system requirements.
  • Explores new applications of conductive properties in materials used in components and their integration into products or systems.
  • Utilizes computer-assisted engineering and design software for task execution.
  • Creates testing apparatus and equipment, establishing procedures for product testing.
  • Handles technician responsibilities related to the setup, configuration, and upkeep of electronic devices.
  • Performs basic analyses of electronic circuits and executes necessary repairs.
Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret clearance is required, with the potential for upgrade to TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience of 2+ years; additional experience may substitute for degree.
  • At least one year of soldering experience with demonstrated proficiency.
  • Minimum of one year in designing, constructing, or repairing basic electronic circuits involving transistors and operational amplifiers.
  • Experience of at least one year in installing and configuring IP equipment common in modern smart homes, including IP cameras and security systems.
  • Prior experience in installing and testing network cables, patch panels, and racks.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Power Supplies, Logic Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Multi-Meters.
  • Strong analytical, listening, and technical troubleshooting skills.

Compensation Range

The typical salary range for this position is $80,000 - $128,000, based on experience and other relevant factors.
