TAP Engineering is looking for a dedicated Electronics Maintenance Specialist to become part of our dynamic team. If you are an enthusiastic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment where your skills are both essential and appreciated, this opportunity is designed for you.


The Electronics Maintenance Specialist will be tasked with the removal, repair, modification, servicing, and installation of various electronic components, including but not limited to transmitting, receiving, and GPS equipment. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to assemble, solder, connect, and inter-wire electronic components. Furthermore, the Electronics Maintenance Specialist will perform maintenance, alignment, configuration, and testing of equipment, adhering to engineering drawings and schematics.


Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS (with SCI eligibility)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting the deployment of GPS, satellite, and cellular communication systems.
  • Solid understanding of digital microwave, cellular, and internet protocol egress technologies and techniques.
  • Capability to assemble prototypes and operational systems from the circuit board and component level, making adjustments to existing hardware based on minimally documented design specifications.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Operational knowledge of basic electronics testing equipment.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in a related technical field.

Note: This position is contingent upon the successful completion of security processing and favorable acceptance onto the program by the Customer.


Clearance Requirement: This position necessitates the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI). Clearance processing will be conducted by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include, but are not limited to:

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Favorable Criminal History Check
  • Education Verification
  • Abuse/Illegal Drug Use
  • Credit Check
  • Subject Interview
