Job Summary:

The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for providing exceptional service to clients and making changes to existing accounts. This role requires specific service and marketing responsibilities, including meeting service and sales delivery standards and performing essential functions to the quality and service standards developed by the agency. The duties and responsibilities of this position are to support the goals, mission, and needs of the Agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to sales teams in developing new business opportunities for existing clients and prospects, analyzing client needs, coverage forms, and quotations.
  • Initiate the renewal process for existing clients and discuss and create a renewal strategy with sales producers, processing renewals in coordination with sales producers according to agency procedures.
  • Conduct market research, negotiate rates, review quotes and coverages for competitiveness and accuracy.
  • Review and summarize marketing results and prepare proposals.
  • Finalize proposals and presentations in coordination with producers.
  • Bond insurance coverage and prepare binders and/or delegate certificate issuance.
  • Review policies for accuracy and review contracts.
  • Prepare summaries and/or schedules of coverage for clients.
  • Schedule appointments with clients as requested by sales producers.
  • Identify exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverages in coordination with sales producers.
  • Complete applications in coordination with sales producers, submit applications to eligible and appropriate carriers, and follow up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies.
  • Order and issue binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and other related items, verify their accuracy, and forward them to clients with appropriate correspondence.
  • Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules, and proposals for clients and prospects when needed.
  • Review audits of policies, verify accuracy, and facilitate corrections as needed between clients and carriers.
  • Verify policy and policy change information, facilitating corrections when necessary.
  • Determine reasons for requests for cancellations, act to save accounts, and notify sales producers.
  • Work collaboratively with teammates to ensure exceptional client service. One team, one dream is something we say a lot, and we mean it.

The Qualifications You Need:

  • A high school diploma or the recognized equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in the commercial insurance industry or a similar role is required.
  • An active State of Florida Property & Casualty Insurance License: 2-20 is required.
  • The ability to collaborate with diverse individuals – teammates and clients alike.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid proficiency with high-level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. You need to know how to work in all of the programs, but Excel is especially important.
  • EPIC experience is preferred.
